Well, hello there!

At this point, we have reached “peak gift guide mode.” Don’t you feel like it’s time to move on? As in, move on to shopping not for others but for yourself? I’m really hoping to, in corporate speak, make my Q1 of ‘25 heavy on some home updates. I’m not sure I have any set philosophy when it comes to shopping for your space, but I feel strongly about two things. First, if you see something you immediately love (and still love six months later), don’t feel bad about spending the money (if you can). (In my case it has to do with a certain style of trompe l’oeil coffee tables...which, no I cannot afford.) Second, the things that make a home/apt/“pad” distinctive are the random cheapies you come across. This list — compiled from my Super Secret Etsy Favorites Folder — is a love letter to both the expensivo and the not-so-expensivo.
